Pontiac GTO

Pontiac has a long history of making classic muscle cars, and the GTO is no exception. The GTO was a sports coupe designed by John DeLorean, who would later go on to design the cars seen in Back to the Future. Although the GTO was not expected to be a commercial success at first, it became a huge hit. With a power output of more 400 horsepower, the GTO is one our best-selling cars.

Oldsmobile 442 convertible

This 1965 Oldsmobile 442 convertible is a rare find. Although it was originally a manual-steering car, the previous owner restored it 10 years ago. It features a Posi rear end, a 400 ci engine and front and rear sway bar. A rare find like this can fetch a premium of almost $300,000.

Firebird Trans Am

Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (mid-sized car) was made by Pontiac between 1967 and 1971. It's 7.5-liter engine has 335 bhp (and 480 lb ft) of torque. Camaro and Firebird were created to rival the Ford Mustang's pony car segment.

Catalina 421

A prime example of this engine's power is the 421 engine found in the Pontiac muscle cars from the 1960s. It was equipped with an aluminum intake manifold, Mickey Thompson pistons, and a solid lifter camshaft. The engine can produce 410 horsepower at a weight of approximately three thousand, thirty-eight pounds. The 440 was paired with dual four-barrel carburetors and a heavy-duty rotating assembly. It also had a lightweight flywheel and an aluminum intake manifold. The Catalina 421 was equipped as a Carter AFB Carburetor, an Aluminum Tail Section, and an Aluminum Intake Manifold.

Bonneville

After the 1981 model-year, both Pontiac Bonneville as well as Catalina were cancelled. Sales were already low and the second Energy Crisis had made many more car buyers look for smaller cars that are more fuel-efficient. In addition to the canceled models, Pontiac also discontinued the 301 engine. Instead, Pontiac used Chevrolet engines. These cars are the final models manufactured by GM.
