Calculate the average annual mileage of a car

It is simple to calculate an annual mileage simply by counting the miles a car has driven per week. After a week of driving, the trip meter should read zero on each car. Take note of all journeys you make and multiply that total by 52 for the average annual mileage. Drivers often round up their mileage for ease. They will also add weekends driving miles. After compiling this data, they can use the information to calculate an annual mileage.

There are two ways to calculate the average annual mileage of a car. First, look at the car's odometer. You can calculate the approximate annual mileage by multiplying the total mileage on a car by the number years it's been owned. If the car has been used for five years, then its annual mileage would be ten thousands miles per year. This method is useful only for new cars.
